DOUTORADO EM CIÊNCIAS DA RELIGIÃO – PPG – DCR
ACU – Absoulute Christian University is an accredited higher education institution in the USA, specifically in the City of Orlando, in the state of Florida, which offers the Doctoral Program in SCIENCES OF RELIGION, lasting three years and with a workload of 1,800 hours, totaling 120 credits.
Masters in Theology and related areas, graduated from recognized institutions.. In the case of foreigners, that their higher education is recognized in their country of origin.
To stimulate the production of knowledge in the field of Sciences of Religion, as well as to train people capable of having autonomy and independence of action in the field of Sciences of Religion. It also aims to develop skills in the production and transmission of knowledge in Sciences of Religion, in view of the advances in didactic concepts, religious practices and research methodologies.
To improve knowledge professionals in the area of religion for the development of research, studies, projects and programs that contribute to the improvement of the religious field in its various segments. With interfaces in the training of religious professionals; in the relations between religion, society and citizenship; in the relationship between religion and public policies; with theological planning, management and evaluation processes; and in the relationship between religion and new technologies.
I – RELIGIOUS SCHOOL TEACHING:
This line of studies proposes to accept proposals that deal with school education, basic education – early childhood education, elementary school, high school) and higher education, and religious actions developed by non-school institutions linked to state agencies and society organizations civil. It will also cover topics that discuss social issues related to citizenship, as long as they are linked to religious actions in school education.
II – RELIGION AND PUBLIC SPACE:
Researches the public update of religion, in a general sense, and the overlap between religion and the different professional fields of society, investigating how religion interacts with the professional field, imposing specific training for the professional responsible for acting in the context of relationships with religion.
III – RELIGION, HISTORY AND SOCIETY:
It analyzes the concept of religious phenomenon in contemporary thinkers, investigating the relationship of the religious phenomenon with the sciences, with politics, with atheism and secularization. It studies the relationship between immanence and transcendence, the concept of the Sacred, the concept of religious experience and the close relationship between religion and secularization.
IV – RELIGIOUS PHENOMENON: EPISTEMOLOGICAL DIMENSIONS:
This line deals with the complex processes of construction and reconstruction of religious beliefs, practices and discourses in history and in today’s society. They include classic and contemporary analyzes of different religions, their coexistence, conflicts within the religious field and their relations with different dimensions and aspects of society.
