MASTER IN THEOLOGY
ACU – Absoulute Christian University is an accredited higher education institution in the USA, specifically in the City of Orlando, in the state of Florida, which offers the MASTER IN THEOLOGY Program, with a duration of two years and a workload of 1,425 hours, totaling 95 credits.
Masters in Theology and related areas, graduated from recognized institutions.
To stimulate the production of knowledge in the field of Theology, as well as to train people capable of having autonomy and independence of action in the field of Theology.
It also aims to develop skills in the production and transmission of knowledge in Theology, in view of advances in didactic concepts and pedagogical practices and research methodologies.
To improve skills of professionals with knowledge in the area of Theology for the development of research, studies, projects and programs that contribute to the improvement of the pastoral and educational field in its various segments. With interfaces in the formation of theology professionals; in the relations between theology, education, society and citizenship; in the relations between theology, education and public policies; with the educational planning, management and evaluation processes; and the relationship between theology and new technologies.
I – REVIEW OF TEXTS AND BIBLICAL CONTEXTS:
This line of studies proposes to welcome proposals that deal with the Bible and that has great complexity. Each text presented in the Holy Scriptures has an emotional, spiritual, profound and important meaning. Therefore, it is possible that people often make misinterpretations or with values that they have for themselves.
Aiming at the difficulties encountered in re-reading, teaching and the applicability of Biblical texts, the line of research “Re-reading of Biblical Texts and Contexts” of the Master in Theology develops and guides a deep knowledge of the interpretation of basic Judeo-Christian literature to understand the practice of Christian religiosity in modern times.
II – PASTORAL AND COMMUNITY THEOLOGY AND PRACTICES:
This line of studies includes studies on the part of the finding that third sector institutions are involved both with their activities, as well as with guidance, social support, with development and spiritual care of the community in general. For this reason, this line of research studies the application of theology in the institutional organization of churches, NGOs and general and social communities.
It aims to develop in students the pastoral, ethical, moral, social and community care of society and citizenship, seeking the support of modern techniques of administration, management, leadership, people management, counseling, chaplaincy and spiritual guidance, ethical-moral and citizenship.
III – SPIRITUALITY, EDUCATION AND TEACHING IN THE FORMATIVE PROCESSES:
Along these lines, studies on teaching in school institutions – in basic education – early childhood education, elementary school and high school – and non-school educational processes will be developed. The relations between the pedagogical political project, the didactic – disciplinary planning, the lesson plan and the strategies for evaluating the disciplinary contents. And the technologies and the organization of the pedagogical work, besides teaching and organization of the pedagogical work.
