ACU – Absoulute Christian University is an accredited higher education institution in the USA, specifically in the City of Orlando, in the state of Florida, which offers the MASTER IN HISTORY Program, with a duration of two years and a workload of 1,425 hours, totaling 95 credits.
Graduates in History and related areas, graduated from recognized institutions.
To stimulate the production of knowledge in the field of History, as well as to train people capable of having autonomy and independence of action in the field of History.
It also aims to develop skills in the production and transmission of knowledge in History, in view of the advances in didactic concepts and pedagogical practices and research methodologies.
Improve knowledge professionals in the educational area and in the area of History for the development of research, studies, projects and programs that contribute to the improvement of the teaching field in its various segments. With interfaces in the training of education and history professionals, in the relationship between education, history, society and citizenship, in the relationship between education, history and public policies, with the planning, management and educational evaluation processes and in the relationship between education, history and new technologies. In addition to training high-level teachers and researchers so that they can perform functions in higher education institutions, in professional, scientific and technological education institutes, in all aspects, as well as in archives, museums and other spaces for the promotion of culture and constitution of historical memory.
ACU – Absoulute Christian University intends to train Masters with a critical spirit, able to use the theoretical and practical instruments of knowledge of History and also to show solutions to problems faced by institutions in the area of concentration of knowledge.
I – CULTURE, SOCIETY AND CITIZENSHIP:
This line of studies proposes to welcome researchers whose investigations are associated with the history, society / cultural / social history of culture, with the theoretical-methodological axis of representation theories, as well as concepts and approaches of the sociological, anthropological theory of contemporary social history. .
In this way, the projects are dedicated to reflecting on a varied set of themes, among which religion, religiosity, cultural interaction, writing practices, memory, society, material culture, cinema, gender relations, sexuality and work. They also outline proposals that deal with school education, basic education – early childhood education, elementary education, high school) and higher education, and educational actions developed by non-school institutions linked to state agencies and civil society organizations. It will also cover topics that discuss social issues related to citizenship, as long as they are linked to educational actions.
II – ETHNICS AND INVENTION OF FREEDOM:
Covering research in the area of the history of blacks and indigenous people in Brazil, under slavery and other forms of subordination, from the colonial to the republican period.
The interests are varied, covering issues related, on the one hand, to the mechanisms of domination, control policies, trade and exploitation of the labor force and, on the other hand, to the constitution and rights of blacks and Indians as historical subjects, their networks of sociability, cultural dynamics, worldview, survival strategies, negotiation and resistance in the city, in the countryside and in the woods.
This line of studies focuses on issues related to the ethnicities of black and indigenous peoples on issues related to culture, society and the continuity of their races.
III – SOCIETY, CULTURAL AND POWER RELATIONS AND REGION:
In this line of studies, the interest of their studies will develop cultural and power relations, economic and social hierarchies and the formation of regional spaces and whose research initiatives address the following themes: the processes of formation and transformation regarding political ideas and their historicity; the institutions (parties, unions, church, press, etc.) and their relations with society; hierarchies and social and economic relations; the power relations between center and localities; gender relations and micro-relations of power present in society.
