DOCTORATE IN EDUCATION SCIENCES – PPG - DCE

The ACU – Absoulute Christian University is an accredited instituition of higher education in the USA, specifically in the City of Orlando/Florida, that offers the  program DOCTORATE IN EDUCATION SCIENCES, lasting 3 (three) years, workload of 1830 hours, of which 122 credits.

Masters in Education and related areas, graduated from recognized institutions.

General Objective:

To develop skills in the production and transmission of knowledge in Educational Sciences, in view of the advances in didactic conceptions and pedagogical practices and in research methodologies.

Specific Objectives:

To develop studies that broaden the understanding and possibilities of education as a social practice of consolidation of citizenship as a driving force for the construction of a harmonious, just and solidary society.

I- EDUCATION, SOCIETY AND CITIZENSHIP

This line welcomes proposals dealing with school education at all levels of education and educational actions developed by non-school institutions linked to state bodies and civil society organizations. It will also cover topics that discuss social and citizenship issues, provided they are linked to educational actions.

II- TRAINING OF EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS AND TEACHING WORK

This line builds its research themes having as principle the action of teaching/education and its implications in the formation of teachers and their policies; in the production of knowledge; in the practices of memories and stories; in the work and professionalization of teachers, in formal education contexts (basic and higher) and non-formal education, in the perspective of education for all.

III- EDUCATIONAL WORK ORGANIZATION

In this line, studies will be developed on teaching in school institutions (basic and higher) and non-school educational processes. The relationships between the political pedagogical project, didactic-disciplinary planning, class plan and strategies for evaluating disciplinary content.  The use of technologies and their contribution to the organization of pedagogical work.

IV- EDUCATION MANAGEMENT, CURRICULUM AND EVALUATION

This line embraces studies on school and non-school education planning processes. The impacts of public education policies. The management of educational projects. Educational evaluations of institutional and disciplinary projects. It includes studies and research on curriculum, evaluation and teaching in its socio-political-cultural relations. The object of research is formal education in basic and higher education and non-formal education.
